Glenfarclas 12 yr old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 43% abv (Scotland)

FEATURED

Bright amber color. The nose is dense with scents of rich fruitcake, caramel, Sherry, roasted walnuts, toffee, and ginger biscuits. The palate echoes the nose delivering waves of decadent fruit, spice, and malt with a generous dose of sweet Sherry. A real gem with much more depth and style than many of its 12-year-old peers. Simply beautiful and hedonistic.

Glenfarclas 17 yr old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 43% abv (Scotland)

FEATURED

Deep golden to amber color. Rich and complex aromas of dried apricots, figs, roasted nuts, toffee, and a generous dose of Sherry leap from the glass. The palate is a natural extension of the aromatic profile revealing further dimensions of marzipan, sweet black currants, allspice, and hints of clove. Perfectly proportioned with hedonistic pleasure and style. A near perfect Whisky with incredibly broad appeal causing confirmed Whisky skeptics to swoon. Tremendous!

Ardbeg 10 yr old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 46% abv (Scotland)

Brilliant pale straw color, which is very much unexpected for a Whisky aged in wood for 10 years. The nose is quite assertive (in classic Ardbeg style) leaping up from the glass as it sits on the table. Aromas of concentrated peat with accents of iodine, evergreen shrubs, sweet malt, and campfire. The palate is dry while semi-viscous with waves of peat, toasted barley and malt, and smoked meats. It finishes with a sprite and dry flash of acidity with trailing campfire notes. A cult favorite.

Ardbeg “Airigh Nam Beist 1990 Non-Chill Filtered” Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 46% abv (Scotland)

Brilliant, deep golden color. The nose is filled with more sweet toffee malt than peat at the first nosing. With a little water it opens fully revealing a very pretty dose of peat wrapped in sweet grains with accents of maple, cigar box, and scents of the cold sea. The palate fully concurs with the nose as it delivers waves of perfectly proportioned flavors of malt, peat, and roasted fruits with compliments of iodine, sea salt, and sweet herbs. A beautiful malt that is less assertively peaty than the typical Ardbeg showing a bit of a delicate touch if such a thing can be said of an Ardbeg malt.

Ardbeg “Corryvreckan” Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 57.2% abv (Scotland)

Bright golden color. The nose is rich filled with a seamless tour de force of sweet, dense malt, peat, campfire, toffee, baked apple, orange zest, and toasted nuts. The palate is a full three-dimensional expression of the nose giving waves of sweet malt and fruit, caramel, sea salt, vanilla-accented oak, and black pepper. The unctuous texture is perfectly balanced with incredible length and style. New flavor sensations emerge with each new sip. A real beauty.

Ardbeg “Uigeadail” Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 54.2% abv (Scotland)

Bright amber color. The nose is wonderfully rich and complex offering a perfect marriage of peat and smoke with dense malt, roasted nuts, sweet Sherry, and vanilla cream. The palate echoes the nose delivering waves of concentrated baked apples and pears with accents of peat smoke, robusto cigar, vanilla bean, and roasted almonds. This great Whisky is both a beauty and a beast proving the pungency can be nuanced and contemplative. Amazing.

Ardmore “Traditional Cask” Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 46% abv (Scotland)

Deep golden color. The lovely aromas ideally marry sweet tea biscuit, malted barley, peat, and jasmine tea with accent of oak cask. The palate concurs with the nose being spicy and vibrant with a honey rich core and spicy pepper notes that arise on the finish. The finish is dry with lingering wood notes that eventually rise to subdue the pretty malt and fruit flavors

Auchentoshan 10 yr old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 40% abv (Scotland)

Golden color. Perfumed nose of vanilla, anise and citrus. Light bodied with a crisp lemon edge and candied malt mid-palette. Lingering but soft finish.

Auchentoshan 16 yr old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 53.7% abv (Scotland)

Brilliant copper color. The nose is an aromatic symphony presented to exalt the beauty of whisky. Scents of sweet toasted whole grain bread, lavender honey, red currants, caramel, and vanilla fill the nose. The palate echoes the nose delivering its flavors on a complex bed of textures that deftly alternate from viscous to spicy and cleverly angular. Its sense of proportion and delicacy belie its strength giving further indication of this whisky’s supreme character. Very, limited - don’t delay securing your own bottle.

Auchentoshan “Sherry Cask” 1998 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Scotland); 54.6% abv (Scotland)

Brilliant deep golden color. The nose is vibrant and fragrant with scents of candied orange peel, honey, baked marzipan, and salted caramel. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a rich and lush palate feel even at full strength. With the addition of a splash of water the texture rounds further expanding on the honey notes with accents of citrus zest, nutmeg, and bitter apple with hints of ginger. A great aperitif malt.
